UPDATE

* Important Notice *

As from

5pm, Friday 20th March

Bostall and Bexley Village Community Libraries

will be closed to the general public until further notice.

Given the increasingly difficult and unprecedented health crisis in which we find ourselves, we are regrettably closing, in line with the Bexley Library Service, to protect our customers, volunteers and staff as far as possible.

Please don’t rush to return your books unnecessarily, as you can still renew books by email and Facebook, or, post them through the letter box/into the box provided if you are able/permitted.

Any accrued fines will be waived so don’t worry !

Avoid phoning the libraries as the answer machine will soon fill up and will not be monitored !

We will be working behind closed doors to try and provide a home book service for our elderly, most vulnerable and at-risk members.

We shall be compiling a list of people shortly and will endeavour to contact you personally by phone to ascertain your needs. Use able-bodied friends and relatives to contact us by email/Facebook on your behalf if you wish.

This will be co-ordinated from Bostall Library, with a pool of volunteers able to drive, to make home deliveries and collections for both Bostall & Bexley Village. The maximum number of books loaned has been increased to 20.

Be sensible, follow guidelines, stay safe and we’ll see you all again when the crisis has past and we can get back to normal.
